Primary Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with veterinarians to acquire new clients to include, sellers, buyers, and business valuation clients.
- Help veterinarians prepare their business to be confidentiality listed for sale; once the business is listed this role will be the transaction manager for the buyer.
- Screening, due diligence, and closing processes.
- Support veterinarians looking to purchase hospitals and becoming the transaction manager.
- Prepare business valuations.
- Attend national, state, regional, and local veterinary conferences/trade shows to build relationships and market the company’s services.
- Give educational presentations to give back to the veterinary profession and also as a means of promoting the company’s services.
- Build relationships with lenders, attorneys, accountants, etc. that mutually help the company’s clients and also as business referral sources.
- Marketing of hospitals for sale.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
- Business valuation experience preferred – business valuation certification preferred.
- Extensive financial analysis experience and proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of the veterinary industry is preferred.
- A passion to work in the small business community and positively impact lives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, a pleasing personality, a positive mental attitude, and a demonstrated enthusiasm for your work.
- Self-motivated drive to grow business and therefore your compensation.
- Work with a high sense of urgency and the ability to provide an exceptional level of client service.
- Ability to solve problems independently and creatively.
- Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing deals, clients, and prospects.
- Ability to self-manage and project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.
- Experience working remotely with minimal supervision.
Position Information:
- Territory Coverage: MN, ND, SD, IA, WI, IL, NE, KS, MO.
- Full-time position, mostly Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend to attend a conference or speaking engagement.
- Minimal travel required.
- Start date – as soon as available.
Company Benefits:
- Significant performance-based bonuses (historically 1-2 times annual base salary).
