Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop compensation and benefits strategies that drive growth, attract/retain talent, optimize the workforce, and drive productivity.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, and guidelines and ensuring they are market competitive, cost-effective, aligned with corporate goals, and in compliance with company policies, federal legislation, and other government and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external salary surveys, conduct compensation and benefits market research, and collect other market data to inform recommendations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for compensation and benefits programs and identify opportunities to better enable the company to improve employee engagement, facilitate proactive and effective messaging and cadence as well as support the company’s growth and strategic plan.
- Assess and make recommendations regarding employee benefits package (insurance, retirement contributions, wellness incentives, etc.).
- Administer and process extended leave requests. Work with supervisors to track and monitor all absences and leave; coordinate leaves of absence with all relevant parties, including management, staffing, payroll, employee relations, and benefits contacts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- At least seven years of experience in progressively more responsible roles in human resources with specific compensation and benefits experience.
- At least three years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, internal customer service skills, and good negotiation tactics.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skillset.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
