Principal Duties & Responsibilities: In the Financial Analyst role, you will conduct financial modeling on a range of financial products and measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Additional duties include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. Forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management will be some of your focus areas as a business partner on this dynamic team.As the Financial Analyst, your main duties will include supporting strategic and financial planning methods, building long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. Additional aspects of this role consist of enhancing our strong data-driven planning process and improve monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments.

  • Analyzes business and financial data.
  • Creates financial models bases on analyses to support organizational decision making.
  • Develop financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
  • Provides detailed financial analysis and reports of expenses, includes breakdowns of project costs, forecasts of remaining expenses, and opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
  • Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Two or more years accounting experience and previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), or thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
