Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate cost estimates.
  • Attend and lead site visits and pre-bid meetings.
  • Compare, prepare and submit budgets, estimates, weekly progress reports and cost tracking reports.
  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates.
  • Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Stipulated Price, Design-Build and Construction/Project Management formatted projects.
  • Organize sub-contractors quotations, negotiate to insure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders.
  • Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects and track same.
  • Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Gather, compile, upload, distribute plans and specifications to subs.
  • Create bid forms and scope documents to provide direction on how scope should be bid and what to include.
  • Create competitive pricing outlines.
  • Create proposals and outlines.
  • Lead value engineering efforts when necessary.
  • Attend meetings with customers, architects and key project personnel.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Create takeoffs as needed.
  • Compile information for handoff meetings to project managers.
  • Input budget and project information into Procore.
  • Set up prime contract schedule of values.
  • Prepare projects for buyout.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and industry-related construction software.

  • Problem solver with ability to identify most efficient ways to accomplish tasks and streamline work processes.
  • Self-starter.
