Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the pursuit of new business opportunities by supporting client relationships and understanding project plans, specs, and other related documents.
  • Aid in preparing project estimates, budgets, and schedules. Provide assistance during project contract negotiations.
  • Attend job site meetings and monitor project progress through reports, evaluations, and inspections, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Support the conceptual development of projects, and work alongside owners, contractors, architects, and engineers to address construction issues.
  • Assist with procuring materials and coordinating manpower, equipment, tools, and supplies for project needs.
  • Aid in the administrative aspects of contracts including change orders, billing, and expenses, and ensure timely and accurate communication with administrative and accounting teams.
  • Support the process for plan submittals, project permitting, and ensuring inspection compliance.
  • Contribute to the job closeout process, including addressing punch list items, assisting with as-built drawings, and handling warranty items.
  • Ensure all necessary steps are taken to support the project’s successful, timely, and budget-adherent completion.
  • Attend meetings, functions, and training as required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as requested by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A four-year technical education in engineering or construction management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in design-build and/or plan-spec projects.
  • Capability to read and comprehend mechanical plans, specifications, and construction details.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with clear verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with Microsoft applications.
