Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic, long-term cybersecurity plan and policy to ensure the company’s data and infrastructure are protected.
  • Oversee the operations of the cybersecurity team and manage its resources and budget.
  • Monitor and assess the company’s security measures, including firewalls, data encryption programs, and network access controls.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in the IT security sector including changes in legislation and regulations that may affect the company’s security strategy.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches effectively and efficiently.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure the security of network architecture and systems.
  • Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
  • Organize and conduct staff training on information security and cyber risks.
  • Prepare and present reports on the status of the security measures in the company.
  • Coordinate with different department heads to increase the staff’s awareness and application of cybersecurity measures.

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant cybersecurity certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology and data security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Proficiency in risk management and knowledge of governance frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to develop creative solutions for complex problems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a cybersecurity team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex security issues to non-technical staff and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and make decisions quickly.

The Director of Cybersecurity is responsible for creating and executing the company’s strategy for securing its digital assets. They will lead our cybersecurity team in protecting our systems and data from breaches and attacks, as well as complying with all relevant regulations and laws. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity.

This position is a vital role that ensures the integrity and confidentiality of the company’s data and information systems. This individual will play a crucial part in the organization’s overall strategy and operations, especially in the digital transformation era, where cybersecurity is increasingly significant and challenging.
