Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project estimates, coordinate with contractors and officials for accurate bids, and communicate budget needs to the relevant managerial staff.
  • Oversee bid processes including managing bid boards, maintaining a bid calendar, preparing bid folders, and securing necessary documents.
  • Compile item lists for construction material, plant, and labor needs, collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors for precise quote prices.
  • Develop and review final bid proposals with the President, followed by diligent follow-up and creating budgets and submittals upon acceptance.
  • Establish and foster robust contractor relationships to identify new bid opportunities and cultivate a referral network for revenue growth.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with bids and budget, and implementing changes based on evaluations.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to processes and procedures; update SOPs and company software systems accordingly.
  • Engage in regular company meetings, conference calls, and trade shows, maintaining professionalism and positive company representation at all times.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Five or more years of experience in General Contracting/Landscaping.
  • Expertise in Commercial Facility Improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability in building and sustaining customer relationships, problem-solving, and project completion within budget and timeframe.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills; able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications with general knowledge across various trades.
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills with a high level of integrity, work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit.
