Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring quality standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies for new food and beverage products and services.
  • Work closely with the executive chef and other key personnel to design menus and offerings that meet guest expectations while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote food and beverage offerings effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for menu and operational changes based on those trends.
  • Oversee the training and development of the food and beverage team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for food and beverage operations, analyzing financial performance and adjusting as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Handle guest complaints and issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field. A Master’s degree would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including culinary, stewarding, beverage, service, and regulatory aspects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and increase revenue.
  • Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage trends and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on service excellence.
  • Proficiency with hospitality management systems and software.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with staff across different departments and levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The Vice President of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic planning of all food and beverage outlets within this organization. They will work closely with executive management to innovate offerings, improve guest satisfaction, and drive profitability. This role requires a high degree of creativity, exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of food and beverage trends, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment.
